The Lost Language of Wiltshire - The Everyday Speech of Jackdaws and Moonrakers

An illustrated talk by Bill Reed on Wiltshire language in the past, with examples of lost vocabulary, accents, stories, anecdotes and poems. It will include extracts from the “Malmesbury Voices” collection as well as items from older collections dating back to the early 19th century.

This talk is jointly run by Malmesbury Carnival and the Athelstan Museum.
