Road Closures 2024

Petticoat Lane - Sunday 18 August

Image

Roads will be closed from 8am to allow stall holders to set up on the High Street, Gloucester Street, and Oxford Street. We will leaflet cars on the previous evening, asking owners to move them before the road closure.

The event opens at 10am and closes at 3pm. Roads are re-opened at 4pm.

Diversion signs will be positioned around Malmesbury to re-direct through traffic.

Danter's Fun Fair - Tuesday 27 August to Sunday 1 Sept

The traditional Carnival funfair means the Station Yard car park will be closed from 5pm on Tues 27 August to 1pm on Sunday 1 Sept.

Funfair set up will begin promptly at 5pm on the Tuesday so cars MUST be removed prior to 5pm on Tuesday 27th August. Over this period, alternative parking has again kindly been offered by the Weaver family in their large field off Holloway (SN16 9JL, what3words: scrap.passes.thickens), this will be marked by temporary signage. The field is on the left going down Holloway towards the town centre, do not enter the private farmyard on the right. No cars may be parked in the field outside the Station Yard closure period.

Wiltshire Council have confirmed to us that holders of Season Ticket Parking Permits for Station Yard are able to park in Cross Hayes for the period of the Station Yard closure only. Any others queries please refer to your Terms and Conditions, or query direct to Wiltshire Council who are responsible for Station Yard car park, and granting the temporary closure.
