Welcome to Malmesbury Carnival

If you want to get involved next year, we're always on the lookout for extra volunteers!

Carnival 2022 is over - We did it!

After two difficult years, we have run full-blown programme of Carnival events this summer that culminated with our showpiece event, Carnival Procession, on Saturday 3rd September.
In 2020, Carnival was run as a Zoom event and in 2021 we ran a reduced programme with no Procession. We are now grateful to the Malmesbury Community, who have come together this year to run Carnival 2022 and made it a great occasion for everyone.
Carnival depends entirely upon the support of the whole Community. We need people, to commit hours and ingenuity on building floats; as they have done for years. We will always need volunteers to come forward for the myriad tasks which need to be done if Carnival is to succeed

If you think you could spare some time and want to join in with Carnival 2023, please get in contact with us.

This year, Open Gardens; the Scarecrow Trail; a Family Fun Day; Petticoat Lane; Music in the Cloisters together with a host of talks, quizzes, plays and fun activities have all taken place during August.

So, let’s celebrate the success of Carnival 2022 for everyone in the Malmesbury community, whether helping out, or just enjoying the events, we hope you had a great time.

If you have a local cause that would benefit from a Carnival grant,
please submit an application form

Application deadline is 14 October

Abbey House Manor Gardens

Kim and Whit Hanks, owners of Abbey House Manor and The Old Bell Hotel, both in Malmesbury, are re-opening Abbey House Manor gardens for 2022.

The gardens are open on the second Saturday of each month and Kim & Whit are generously donating all ticket proceeds to the Carnival fund.
You can book for as many garden trips as you wish and the more times you visit, the more local charities and good causes will benefit.

Carnival Sponsors 2022

We are also extremely grateful to the following organisations for their ongoing support to Malmesbury Carnival
