Covid Safety: Event Specific Guidance

This list contains measures that are applicable to only specific Carnival events.

Open Gardens

  • Toilet facilities will not be available at Open Gardens properties. Public toilet facilities are available in the Town Hall from 9am to 4.30pm, and at the junction of Oxford St and Cross Hayes
  • Please minimise contact with any surfaces in the garden
  • Please consider wearing a face mask in interactions with the proud owners of gardens
  • Please avoid entering buildings if possible

Call My Wine Bluff

  • Please note seating will be at tables of six people. You may be making friends with people you have not met before !!

Petticoat Lane

  • Please minimise handling goods
  • Please use contactless payments if possible
  • Please bring your own hand sanitiser

Music in the Cloisters

  • Please use contactless payments if possible
  • Please bring your own hand sanitiser
  • Please respect social distancing in all areas of the Event

Carnival Day Procession

  • Please donate as many coins as you can but this year ONLY to buckets carried by volunteers. Please do not throw coins.
  • We advise that people move from the traditionally crowded areas of Gloucester Road / Park Road Junction, The Triangle and Market Cross, and towards the traditionally low crowd density areas of Cross Hayes, St Dennis Lane and Upper High St
  • You can also see all the floats assemble along Park Road from 4pm to the start of Procession at 6pm

Carnival Radio will be back in the Summer
