Film Festival

Calling all budding filmmakers!

Malmesbury Carnival needs you...

Film is an art form that brings together people of all ages and backgrounds. It's also something with which children and young people can connect and unlock their own creativity.

Malmesbury Carnival is inviting 7-18 year-olds from the local area to get creative and try their hand at film making with its new Carnival Film Festival.

The simple theme is “Life in the Malmesbury area”, but there are no restrictions on style or genres so you can submit any film you like – including animation, stop motion, dance, music, documentary and live action. Films can cover a range of topics and personal stories.

Films will be assessed for their creativity and content as well as their technical ability. The deadline for entries is 14th August 2020.

If you’d like to take part, please register for this event and you will be sent details of how to submit your entry

If you just want to view the entries once they have been submitted, please go to the Film Festival - Presentation event

The festival will culminate on Carnival 'Judgement Day', when selected entries will be premiered, and one lucky filmmaker will win the opportunity of spending a day on location with a professional film crew.
